I’m more inclined to attribute the female-leftist/socialist association with narcissism amongst women and especially feminists. They want all of the benefits of a traditional relationship with men, without having to contribute to an actual relationship or best any of the associated burdens. Narcissistic sense of entitlement.

The in-group/out-group perspective is still an interesting take on this.

Society overall is far more narcissist in 2024 than the 1980s and 1990s, when I came of age.

The "burdens" of being a Dad and Husband are some of the best drivers of positive male behavior, and set a good example for kids and others.

RFK Jr's recent comment that we have to collectively decide whether we love our kids, more than we hate each other, depicts the hypothesis of the unnecessary "conflict" of the USA's present narcissism, vs being committed to being a productive family member at all times.

Weak people have a bias toward social consensus.

They don't ask themselves: "is this right?"

...they ask: "will everyone think this is right, too?"

Our society has had critical pillars removed:

- active connection with Christ

- nuclear family units

- critical thinking

- numeracy

- literacy

This was done intentionally to flood the zone with concensus-seekers.

With folks who will "trust the science".

With folks who wont question odd looking election results... year after year.

If we can't depend on ourselves we must depend on the Government.

...that's the Gov's plan for your life. To bring about communism.

Weak mean DO vote for communism. Out of fear and a desire to escape punishment for dislocating from the consensus.

Well put. Trust God, not the government.

god isn't in power of the government

The God I worship is omnipotent. He has power over all things, all events, all people all circumstances. Of course he has power over the government

Im Jewish so we worship the same God. He has power over nature, but We his Children are in power over our own decisions which we will be judged for.

Yes, I agree that we have free will. I don’t believe the overall sovereignty of God can be diminished by our free will. Ultimately, he plan and design for mankind will be realized in spite of man’s efforts to thwart that plan.

Interesting insights. The question; Is it cause or effect? Society is training people to be woke and dependent on the state thus making them fundamentally weak.

Man you throw some zingers in here that really need to be called out.

First- you think giving people more control over their lives is better and then you gloss over the abortion issue like it’s not a factor. Let’s just legislate a National Abortion Ban with zero carve outs for anything. Sounds like big government to me.

Also- your right wing vs left wing media analysis smacks of relativism. Be careful not to just bucket into absolutes. People right and left, rural or urban, rich or poor, white or not- are coming up with plenty of reasons to feel oppressed. I see it every time I watch any MSM- from Fox to MSNBC.

I like the premise of your piece and I think there’s something to what you are positing- would love to see it really fleshed out from a neutral perspective though- not from center-right or whatever politics you identify with.

I suppose the question is how do you make strong men…going to the gym is a start but I don’t think that’s enough. It seems the family plays an integral role in this dynamic but it does also depend on what you mean by weak.

It seems that the academics trend left and the working class right. I’m not sure that strong and weak breaks along class lines…

You do realize there is technically no right or left. This is not original with me, but this right or left refers to where parties sat in European parliaments. Our true reference point should be a Constitutional Republic in the middle with Tyranny on one hand and Anarchy on the other. Of course, as one late night wag said to let Iraq use our Constitution because we are not using it anyway. Sad, but very true. I no longer identify as a conservative but as a constitutionalist. Many conservatives don't really care too much about the Constitution except for a couple of the Bill of Rights. There's a lot more in there than just that and it is a roadmap for a much smaller federal government.

Many of us have tuned out both morally bankrupt parties. They are not representing average Americans. and keeping our best interests in mind. They serve Big Business, the Rich and the Famous. The GOP refuses to take a moral stand on anything. They watered down abortion and the Second Amendment in their platform this year. For the first time ever at an American political convention, they waved foreign flags (Israeli, of course). Is their slogan, Make Israel Great Again? They refuse to condemn an Israeli government who has massacred almost 25% of the Palestinian civilian population. Congress, both parties, applaud the Butcher as he dictates Congress their orders for another war. The US allowed Israel to deny water, food, electricity, or healthcare to civilians. The US looks the other way, all the while sending bombs even they believe too large for use in civilian areas. I'm sure we ultimately pay for their bombs too. The GOP refuses to stand up and condemn the child abuse the nonsense about changing genders is causing. Where is the outrage about such permanent changes to children's bodies, who have no legal ability to approve such things? Let Big Business, the Rich and the Famous, and the Israelis go vote for their favorite skunk. I am not represented and I am tired of pretending I am.

This is an interesting thought exercise. My first wife and I married in 1985. The whole time we were married (27 years) she identified as a conservative Republican (at least that's the way she voted). We have been divorced for 12 years. She never remarried. And she is now a very left leaning, Biden voting, get the Vax, trust the government no matter what kind of person. She has blocked members of my family on social media who are still very right leaning, Trump voting, pure bloods who see our leftist government for what it is.

She was afraid of the cult of Трумпизм i dont blame her

Very interesting. I read this right after a piece on surveys showing a very high percentage of single women are liberal/woke/democrat, while a slight majority of married women are conservative and vote republican. Perhaps marriage makes them stronger?

Anyway, there's one kink I'll throw into your thesis - they're probably not physically stronger, and certainly not morally stronger, but the men who are most powerful (in terms of money and in political positions of power) love communism because they figure they'll be the ones running it.

"the men who are most powerful (in terms of money and in political positions of power) love communism because they figure they'll be the ones running it."

True.

Such men, regardless of national origin, and no matter whether they are elected officials or C-Suite businessmen, love the Citizen control systems of the PRC/CCP, and generally are not in favor of our Freedoms.

I can’t remember exactly which book it was, but Derren Brown was talking about a similar phenomenon. There was a study that showed right and left wing people various pictures and scanned their brains for reactions. Those who were left wing had stronger “disgust” reactions upon seeing things like poverty, whilst people on the right were more receptive to threats, and therefore more concerned about safety and order

I believe it is a woman’s nature to be less independent. They are caretakers for their children and need and want a man to take care of them so they are free to focus on their offspring.. Unfortunately, there are many men in our society who are lousy caretakers. Too narcissistic and self-centered to understand and embrace the sacrifices necessary to care for a wife and their children, to be a husband and a father.

Right wing≠small government. This has been proven again and again.

I subscribed for a full year based on this quote:

"It shouldn’t be a surprise that people who feel they control their life do, indeed, vote to make their world better. While those who feel powerless see voting as a form of collective self-defense against their fellow citizens.

"The solution, of course, is to give people more control over the lives. From school-choice to making it easier to start — or keep — a business, people who control their destiny vote to keep that control instead of voting to be led to the slaughter"

That is Condo Board behavior right there.

Same for many NGOs that you might volunteer for or donate to.

No more.

You could pay an attorney a lot of money and never receive Peter's information, since I've made it to age 60, paid for numerous attorneys, traveled in good circles, and never heard this, ever.

With Peter's help, I NOW know what to do, and the only question is the implementation, the degree of empathy a strong person should offer the weak person, who attempts to control us through their actions and decisions, stemming from their likely UNEARNED AUTHORITY.
