I think Vivek and Elon have the right idea: cut government by 80% and lay off most of the bureaucrats.

100%!!! We can’t keep borrowing $2 trillion a year to cover the budget deficit. We can’t be taxed to death either. The other option is cutting all the fat.

The USA will collapse and fail inexorably over the next ten years. It will because it must. There is no way back.

The budget deficit is NOT to fund bureaucrats. It is to fund the ongoing Ukraine war and hand billions to Israel. Also, lots of dollars to the Uniparty cronies. That is where the money goes. Politicians are the ones spending the money and the ones who pass the bills. Bureaucrats cannot fund themselves.

It's worth recalling that Elon Musk is deeply part of the WEF NWO totllitarian future, The evidence is everywhere. He would put a chip in yoir brain. How do you think the entirety of Musk's career has been funded by the Corporate State. Musk is owned by Zionism, and if you don't realise that now you will eventually. He'sthe soft sell side .

Their can be no doubt the government hates us. They steal, rob, use force, extort and even murder if you do not submit. Government is NOT your friend but your mortal enemy. Covid should have waken people up, now with the abandonment of the US Citizen vs the flying around , money given to and homes given illegal border smashers it can get no clearer.

But rush out and expect a different result this time around. It won't happen. The GOP is on board with the misnamed Patriot Act and every other illegal spying on American citizens. They vote this way. Both parties are corrupt to the core.

Agreed The GOP has shed many of the leaders of this enslavement to government ideology. 700+ of the more prominent signed a letter now supporting the Marxist authoritarian Harris. We need more house cleaning, but at least its somewhat in the right direction,

I sincerely hope Trump wins, Elon becomes his efficiency overseer and they remove at least 50% of the government employees.

Trump is NOT going to reduce government. The GOP LOVES Big Government; they just want to run it. Notice how the GOP NEVER talks about Small Government anymore. Trump promises a lot he never delivers on. Promised to end all the Endless Wars last time. In 4 years, he never ended one. Promised to unseal the Kennedy Assassination papers, but instead sealed them up for 3 more years. Now he is promising to unseal them again. Is Hillary in prison? No, her and Bill are "good people". Clown show for a Circus country.

Peter I agree that hiring and firing freedom is critical.

What is more critical is turning off the energy source to the deep state.

Trump is on this.

A 10% cap on credit card interest rates paired with a new tax and tariff integrated strategy that rewards American supply chains and American innovation and penalizes the importation of cheap goods and labor makes complete sense.

We are in undeclared war with our own leaders.

They are using us as tax chattel to create wealth for themselves and they use our consumer class to create opportunities and wealth for themselves.

It should be illegal to serve more than 6 years in the federal government.

We need to cut down the amount of time these people can stay in power so the value of their favors goes down.

I believe we can completely transform this country and fix the predatory parasitic federal overstate in a single presidential term.

Trump loves Big Business and so the 10% cap on interest rates would not fly. Remember, he effectively killed cellular service competition by letting T-Mobile and Sprint merge. T-Mobile is no longer charging to cut bills, etc. Now that there are only 3 big carriers, they are raising prices together. They knew this would happen, but simply care more about Big Business than us. Canada has had 3 carriers for a long time and they are experiencing exactly what we are now. Thanks so much, Trump. Make Big Business Great Again should be your slogan.

It’s absolutely disgusting how they can rob all of us through money inflation. They’ve stolen our buying power for over 100 years. 1913 should be known as The Great Rape of the American People.

As long as Americans refuse to either join or vote for a third-party, NOTHING will change. The Uniparty wins EVERY election.

"Progressives did this because they've convinced themselves that government workers are omniscient angels..."

Yes, this is the basis of the belief by many people, even many on the right, that banksters or other capitalists control the government. These people believe that the people in government are Saints who are only corrupted by evil capitalists. The truth is that the source of the evil is the people in the government themselves. No conspiracy theory needed. It's evil government crooks all the way down.

If capitalists really controlled the government it would work a lot better than it does.

Thank you, sir. A rare read in a sewer of social media.

There really has never been a time when the citizen was the master and government was the slave. That has been a mirage for over 200 years. You are here to serve government and the globalists that control the government. You think voting changes things? You will still be under the yoke of government after voting in November. And at this point, it is becoming more evident that the globalists no longer require the services of 90% of the world's population.

Why is government so inefficient and reckless? It's simple...it's operated from a centralized perspective and views things with a one-size-fits-all mentality. It's the people on the ground, in the area, in the trenches and doing the transacting that know how best to make things work.

That is why government seeks to know and control everyone's daily lives. Mainly through the digital world. They fear you might discover that they are totally incompetent and can be replaced or even destroyed.

Read your history, please. The Constitution was not written by power-hungry people. As George Washington and others have stated, the Constitution and government in general will only be limited when the people are religious (a synonymous term for Christianity back then), clearly meaning moral. in word and deed Clearly, our country has abandoned God and he will let us destroy ourselves. Immoral people elect those like themselves, which is why we have these clowns running for President. Statesmanship is so dead.

Unfortunately the general population is enslaved to their government because of personal debt. At around 19 trillion and rising.

Debt slaves are unwilling to push back as they have too much to loose. It is my opinion that the debt based economy was created just for this reason. So they go along to get along living a luxurious and affluent lifestyle they can’t afford.

The first chart was less than useful. Does this include state and county government employees? If so, this varies a lot by state and even by county, depending on size. The chart doesn't say. It also doesn't show it related to population growth either, which would have been useful.

The idea we can hold politicians responsible is laughable. When you only have the two corrupt parties because Americans refuse to support or vote for anyone else, don't be surprised when they both give the electorate the middle finger once in office. Honestly, there is no reason to vote anymore. We the People are clearly not represented by either party. They serve Big Business, Ukraine, Israel, and the Rich and the Famous. We Little People don't get a seat at the table. They say stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. I decided a few years ago, if there was no decent alternative candidates, I was not going to vote. Why make them think they have me fooled into thinking they represent me? They do not and never will.
